What all fashion communicate?
Fashion is one of the ways of non-verbal communication. Fashion communicates a lot about our personality, our motives and our feelings. What we wear and how we wear tells a lot about us. People often dress according to their moods which indicate a lot about how they feel at a given point of time. Furthermore fashion also communicates about our gender, religion, custom and culture. One of the most intriguing purpose fashion serves is to express ourselves, how we wish people to see us. Different speech of fashion are put together to create outfits or certain looks.
Is fashion forceful?
Fashion is forceful to a certain extent but moreover it is impactful. Some people force themselves to abide by certain fashion trend just to not feel out of fashion but that leads to nothing but discomfort. Fashion leaves an impact on people. For examples if you like a celebrity's look or an influencer's look, you would certainly want to dress like that and hopefully would dress up like that but if you do not find that captivating, you would not want to wear it just because it is what a celebrity is wearing. one forced, fashion leads to discomfort. It is because of the impactful nature of fashion that we have a huge amount of influencers doing exceptionally well on social media.
Is fashion powerful?
Fashion is undoubtedly powerful enough to leave an impact on people. If fashion hadn't been powerful, we would not have invested a large amount of time looking for the best dress to wear. It is powerful enough to create a perception about a certain person. Different types of attires create different types of perception for a certain person. For example if you see two different people in an interview out of which one is neatly dressed in formals while the other person is dressed in casuals, your mind would create a perception that the job is very valuable for the person dressed in formals which might not be the case but the way that person dressed left an impact on your mind which clearly says that fashion is powerful.

Statement sleeves. The trend has visibly come back as it was seen in many fashion shows.
Moreover we ourselves wear tops with different types of sleeves.

PUFF SLEEVS IN RENAISSANCE AND NOW
The Empire period style in its purest form is characterized by the columnar silhouette
without gathers in front, some fullness over the hips. These styles at the beginning of the
19th century were made of a soft, light weight fabric gathered just under the breasts. It
featured a low square neckline, and small, short, puffed sleeves with a low shoulder line.

During the 1920s clothing styles officially entered the modern era of fashion
design . Women began to liberate themselves from constricting and uncomfortable
gowns for the first time. They were open for casual

and more comfortable styles like pants and shorter skirts, low waistlines and revolutionary styles.
At that time flapper dresses came into fashion. The
dresses usually revealed the leg from the kneecap down.
The dresses were shapeless and with no sleeves. The
women used to pair it up with
stockings and cardigan to cover up their arms during
winters. The dresses
were usually made of expensive fabrics like muslin with
sequins or strings sewed on.
